When I was living in Phoenix back about 10 years ago, a summer time beach trip meant one of two things. We could head out to San Diego for a weekend or even a week, or we could go down to Rocky Point. Rocky Point was a little bit closer, it was in Mexico, it was less expensive and it had a great beach. The big plus was that there were many great Rocky Point condo rentals to choose from.
Rocky Point, called Puerto Penasco in Mexico, lies on the Gulf of California. The clear warm waters of the Gulf are enticing and because of its location, clear blue sky are the norm, every day. In fact, Rocky Point weather is just about perfect year round.

Just thinking about Rocky Point brings back a lot of great beach memories. I think it’s about time for a trip back there.
