Relax on Vacation

Vacations are the best way to relax. It’s a real good chance to get away from it all and see something new. When we see something new, much of our stress just leaves us and we begin to feel more relaxed and more free.

I have a few tips I have learned over the years on how to relax on vacation. First of all, make sure your turn off your cell phone and blackberry. If you really need it on, make sure you only keep it on a few hours a day, that way you can control who gives you stress and when.

Next, make sure you do 1 activity a day that is enjoyable and 1 activity a day that is new for you. Maybe try something you would normally balk at doing. Part of relaxing is doing those things. It certainly helps you deal with anxiety.

Finally, make sure you spend at least a day relaxing at home before your vacation and at least a couple of days at recuperating from your vacation.
