Avoiding Theft When You Travel

Theft can be the biggest negative when you travel. In fact, theft is one of the most things that can ruin a vacation or trip. A theft can not only leave you frightened, but it can also leave you broke, especially when it’s your traveling money that has been taken away.

I’ve found that a hidden pocket is a good idea. I have a pair of traveling pants that I do use from time to time. On the inside of the waistband are a couple of buttons and all I do is button the extra pocket into place with a few valuables. That includes my debit card. Sure I can get it replaced and I am only liable for a small amount of fraudulent transactions, but still, who wants to bother with the hassle of filing claims when you are still abroad?

Keep your small change for the day in throwaway wallet. If someone wants to rob you, turn over your throwaway wallet (with some old pictures and defunct cards) and show them your empty pockets.
